Becky L. Braun, AuD, CCC-A, PASC

Dr. Becky Braun earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders – Speech and Hearing Science, and her Master of Science in Audiology from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. Dr. Braun was awarded her Clinical Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from the University of Florida. Dr. Braun is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, is Board Certified in Audiology with a Specialty Certification in Pediatric Audiology, and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is licensed to practice Audiology in Illinois. Dr. Braun has served as an Adjunct Professor at Illinois State University. Prior to joining the staff of Peoria Ear, Nose & Throat Group, Dr. Braun was a Clinical Audiologist at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, where she helped establish a Cochlear Implant program with Dr. James Klemens. Dr. Braun’s clinical interests include early assessment and treatment of pediatric patients, adult hearing evaluations and hearing aids, as well as vestibular diagnostics and rehabilitation.

Holly J. Demichelis, AuD, FAAA

Dr. Holly J. Demichelis earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University in Communicative Disorders. She continued her Studies at Northern Illinois, completing a Masters of Arts Degree in Audiology. Dr. Demichelis earned her Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) Degree from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences. Dr. Demichelis is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, Illinois Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. She is certified by the American Speech, Language & Hearing Association and is licensed to practice Audiology in the State of Illinois. Dr. Demichelis enjoys working with all age populations with a special interest in advanced amplification technology and vestibular diagnostics/rehabilitation.

 

Mona M. Dworsack, AuD, CCC-A

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Mona Dworsack earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Illinois State University, her Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Arizona State University, and Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree from University of Florida. Dr. Dworsack is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and is certified by the American Speech, Language & Hearing Association. She is licensed to practice Audiology in the States of California and Illinois. Dr. Dworsack has had varied experiences in hearing care provision and industry. She has led projects for device design, development, and education for hearing aids; as well as, hearing and balance-screening and diagnostic equipment (for in-person and tele-audiology). She has broad base of experiences in pediatric diagnostics, early identification, and treatment; as well as adult diagnostics and amplification selection, fitting and verification. Mona previously served on the National Initiative for Children’s Healthcare Quality- Medical Home Collaborative and the American Academy of Audiology-Guidelines for Infant Pediatric Assessment Taskforce.

Prior to joining Peoria ENT, she served as an Audiologist for the Illinois Department of Corrections, as Director of Product Management at WS Audiology, in various audiology leadership roles for Natus Medical (Otometrics/Audiology Systems). Clinically, she has been Coordinator of Electrophysiology/Senior Audiologist and Director of the Newborn Hearing Screening Program at the University of California Los Angeles Medical Center, Pediatric Audiologist in the House Ear Institute CARE Center and Screening Coordinator in its Southern California Hearing Coordination Center. She was clinical audiologist at Houston ENT and completed her clinical fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

 

Jacey G. Hoekstra, AuD, CCC-A

Dr. Jacey Hoekstra earned both her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders and her Doctor of Audiology degree from Illinois State University. Dr. Hoekstra also completed foreign study program at University of Granada, Granada, Spain. Jacey is very familiar with many of our audiology patients as she completed her 4th year externship at Peoria Ear, Nose & Throat. Dr. Hoekstra is certified by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association and provides adult and pediatric audiological evaluations, hearing aid fittings and service. Dr. Hoekstra assists James Klemens, M.D. & Hetal Patel, M.D. with their Cochlear Implant patients. She is licensed to practice Audiology in Illinois.

 

Samantha C. Fisher, AuD, CCC-A

Dr. Samantha Fisher earned a Bachelor of Science – Speech Pathology & Audiology Degree from Miami University, Oxford, OH in 2013. She received her Doctor of Audiology degree from Illinois State University in 2017. Prior to joining Peoria Ear, Nose & Throat Group Dr. Fisher was employed at FYZICAL Therapy &Balance Centers, in Omaha, NE. Dr. Fisher provides adult and pediatric audiological evaluations, hearing aid fittings and services, and vestibular evaluations. She is licensed to practice Audiology in Illinois.

Dr. Jill Pruvost earned both her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology and her Master of Science in Audiology from Illinois State University. Dr. Pruvost completed her Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) degree from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences. She is a member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, Illinois Academy of Audiology and is certified by the American Speech, Language & Hearing Association. She is licensed to practice Audiology in Illinois. Dr. Pruvost enjoys working with all age groups in performing audiological diagnostics and fitting amplification.

 

Michael R. Rooney, HIS

Michael R. Rooney, HIS

Michael Rooney earned his Bachelor of Science at Lewis University and has been serving patients with hearing loss 30+ years. In 1990, Michael began his journey with Miracle Ear as a sales associate and then eventually took on the role of district manager. He then relocated to Peoria, IL in 1995 as a franchise manager. In 2015, Michael bought the Peoria franchise which covered central Illinois. In 2018, he sold the business to a major franchisee and continued to serve Miracle Ear’s patients where he stayed until 2020. Michael enjoys working with all age groups and is currently seeing the majority of our UnitedHealthcare Hearing patients.
